Mrs. Ann Walton
Director & Teacher
Mrs. Walton has a BS degree in Education with a ZA endorsement. Initially a parent of a student at St. Clare Co-Op, she has now been teaching here since 2004.
Hello, my name is Ann Walton and I am the 3’s teacher and School Director. I have been privileged to be a part of St. Clare Cooperative Nursery School since 2002 when I enrolled our 3-year son. I immediately fell in love with the warmth of the teachers, the friendliness of the parents and opportunity to be so closely involved in his first school experience. Three years later I was asked to join the teaching team! Little did I know then that all these years later I would still be an important part of this remarkable learning community….and it a part of me!
I earned a B.S. degree in Family Life Education from Eastern Michigan University with a Child Care Guidance minor. In my 25+ years of early childhood education, I have had various positions and experiences with children of all ages. What I love about being a teacher of three-year old’s is their wide-eyed wonder of all things new, and their trusting nature. I am grateful to have a talented teaching partner who is just as passionate about teaching the Four’s. What I love about being the Director is the ability to shape our program in partnership with the parents, and create a warm, safe place where children, parents and teachers can play, learn, sing, discover and grow together!
When not playing with play dough or listening to knock-knock jokes at St. Clare, I enjoy spending time traveling and sailing with my husband, daughter and son, riding my bike, reading, knitting, gardening and eating chocolate!
Mrs. Sheri Rieth
Mrs. Rieth has a Bachelors in Early Childhood Education and a Masters in Counseling. She has been teaching at St. Clare since 2009.
My name is Sheri Rieth and I am the 4's teacher at St. Clare Nursery School. I hold a Bachelors of Psychology with a focus in Child Development from Pine Manor College in Boston along with Masters degrees in Counseling and School Counseling from Oakland University. I live in Grosse Pointe Park with my husband and three children, a son, two daughters, a large Great Dane and a small rescue dog. During my free time you can find me chauffeuring my girls to dance and choir, visiting my son at Michigan State University, dabbling in interior design, and working out. The only thing I love more than "warm weather" is teaching your young children.
